Well as you know I’ve been M.I.A. for about a week. Excuses? Lazy. Angry (my car broke down like 3 times in a week time span). Busy (w /the campaign and everything). But anyway I’m back—well at least for today—and I’m ready to catch you up on what I’ve been listening to and what’s been going on in the world of music that has caught my eye.
The most fascinating event was –of course—Jay-Z’s performance at Glastonbury. I’m a huge Mr. Carter fan so I was definitely interested in seeing what kind of shenanigans he would bring to the UK. The introduction is hilarious, “We’ve been told to expect very strong language.” *gasp* HUH?! Wait?! I had no clue rappers used vulgar language! Thank-you for opening my eyes Mr. British Reporter Man.
So Jay appears n the stage fake strumming on his guitar as the real band behind him play the introduction to Oasis’ “Wonderwalls.” Why “Wonderwalls” you ask? Well there was a bit of a verbal scrapple from Oasis’ Noel Gallagher that it was absurd that Jay-Z would be headlining a predominately rock festival. In other words he was saying “Jay-Z you don’t belong here.” Jay replied back stating that rap had its place at the festival and to exclude it would be rather absurd.
Jay-Z’s cover was of the song was pretty terrible, but I think that’s what he was going for.But then he blasted into 99 problems and the crowd went crazy. Then on the second verse they changed the arrangement of the song from the normal one that we’re used to, to an AC/DC backdrop.

stuff white people like is hilarious! "It is the duty of every white person to correct typos. It is worth the risk of banishment to deliver proper grammar to those who need it." Good stuff!
No team has overcome a 3-1 deficit in the finals to win a title. The first 28 failed, and now the Lakers, who blew a 24-point lead and lost Game 4 and nearly squandered a 19-point lead in Game 5, have a chance to do something extraordinary.
